A professional home organizer who needed to replace a web developer that was charging well and fixing very little.

The problem: Wendy already had a website. It was built and maintained by an outside company that charged a premium and responded slowly whenever something broke. In her own words, she needed to replace a developer who had been very poorly addressing tech issues on her site.

What I built: I rebuilt the site from the ground up and took over maintaining it myself, at a lower cost and with someone who actually answers. Her existing content came across intact, with a contact form built to turn visitors into booked consultations, real spam protection, and the local search groundwork her previous site never had.

What happened: Traffic held steady through the rebuild, which is not a given - a redesign frequently loses visitors during the migration. That is also before the new site has had time to climb in Google. She is no longer paying a third party to respond slowly to her own website.

GuidePost360

An indoor campus wayfinding tool for emergency responders. It was also the first website I ever built, and I put over a hundred hours into it.

The problem: Emergency responders arriving at a campus were working from a static map with cramped, hard-to-read styling. In the moments where it matters most, that is not something anyone can read quickly, and a paper map or a general-purpose map app does not handle multiple floors and multiple buildings at all.

What I built: GuidePost360 gives turn-by-turn indoor directions between buildings and rooms, across floors, including an accessibility-aware option that routes around stairs for anyone who cannot use them. Staff update the map and room data themselves through a visual admin panel, because hand-editing map data without seeing it is close to impossible.

What happened: The county sheriff's office gave the project their full support as a replacement for the mapping system they were using, and countywide adoption was debated at county board level before the board ultimately went a different way. It runs as a live demo today. Not bad for a project that started as a school assignment.
